C. Alan Anderson Architect, P.A., (CA3) is a full-service Architectural firm with experience working on a diverse array of project types, from residential to commercial to civic to theatrical. Since our firm’s founding in 2001, CA3 has worked with private, municipal, county, and state agencies, including new constructions, renovations, build-outs, and additions.

 

As a local firm, we are service-driven, not fee-driven. As such, we are committed to providing quality, timely performance to our clients and solving their design problems. Our project diversity is by design, not only to avoid falling into a down market that can hurt a firm, but also to promote our ability to accommodate each client’s functional and aesthetic needs on a personal basis, no matter the project type. Our project approach allows the client to see various concepts in solving their project needs, assuring them they have looked at all alternatives and have chosen the best design option that meets their needs.

 

Our comprehensive services include, but are not limited to, existing conditions verification, planning, programming, schematic design, design development, preparation of construction documents, bidding/negotiation assistance, permitting assistance, construction administration, and post-construction services. We follow each project from conception to Certificate of Occupancy or final walkthrough, addressing each phase as needed. All design work is performed in-house using current, up-to-date CADD and Revit programs. For planning purposes, we can advise clients of potential building costs; we maintain communications with our contracting associates so that we stay abreast of current pricing.

 

The Architectural design process begins with Mr. Anderson. He uses his 40+ years of experience and begins with the general layout of the building from preliminary information. Other consultants are brought in during the first phases as determined necessary. From there, the Architectural Associate assigned to manage the project continues to develop the next level of information through the Design Development phase. Once we move into Construction Documents, other staff and consultants are brought in to help.
